Overview

Crêperie A l'Étoile d'Or, nestled at 12 Rue de Montenotte in Paris's 17th arrondissement, offers a genuine taste of traditional French creperie culture. Just a few minutes' walk from the iconic Arc de Triomphe, this welcoming spot blends location convenience with a cozy atmosphere that invites both locals and travelers alike.

The menu balances classic and inventive options with a focus on quality ingredients. Highlights include the delicate Crepe Nutella Coconut and the rich Crepe Honey Goat Cheese Almond, which showcase the kitchen’s flair for harmonizing sweet and savory flavors. For those seeking hearty fare, the Entrecôte à l’échalote and the unique galettes—such as the ham, asparagus, and cheese béchamel buckwheat crepe—deliver satisfying, well-executed dishes that celebrate regional French traditions.

The experience extends beyond the crepes. Fresh green salads made from chopped iceberg lettuce add a refreshing complement to the menu. Additionally, the presence of classic French items like snails broadens the culinary appeal. A cappuccino or a well-chosen bottle of wine pairs beautifully with either sweet or savory crepes, making it suitable for casual lunches, intimate dinners, or anniversary celebrations.

Guests consistently praise the clean, pleasant interior and the attentive, friendly service—qualities that elevate the dining experience. Despite being close to one of Paris’s most touristic hubs, prices remain reasonable, providing excellent value without sacrificing authenticity or taste. This balance has earned positive remarks from regulars and visitors, who appreciate the combination of quality, atmosphere, and staff warmth seldom found in Paris’s bustling creperies.

Whether you are seeking a late evening meal or a midday break from sightseeing, Crêperie A l'Étoile d'Or offers a charming and authentic French creperie experience. Its thoughtful menu, inviting setting, and convenient location make it a standout choice for anyone craving traditional galettes and crepes in a laid-back yet refined environment.

Serving very good crepes at reasonable prices. Staff efficient. The crepe suzette and the ham, asparagus and cheese bechamel gratin buckwheat crepe are particularly good.

We meet some friends here in Novemeber 2025 while in Paris for our anniversary. We loved it. A bottle of wine, savory (I had salmon) and sweet crepes were all delicious. And it was NOT expensive.

If you are next to Arc de Triumph, visit this restaurant. Really delicious gallete. Not overpriced, despite the location (2-3min walk from Arc de Triumph). Everything is very clean. The service is good and so friendly staff, since it's a quite rare in Paris.

Considering this place isn't located in the high profile post of Paris, and taking into account the loss of footfall because of the Coronavirus, this is a beautiful run little crêperie. Galette and crêpes, as well as salads and the odd other bits are on the menu but the whole ambience for a later evening meal is spot on. Très bien!

We had an amazing galette, the staff is nice and it is also quite cheap, we payed €16,50 for two galettas in 2023. Highly recommended

I discovered this restaurant with my family after confinement ended and ever since we come here twice a month on our Saturdays to lunch together. The owner is friendly and last time he even did a special salad for us. From the crêpes variety I recommend the Savoyarde for the salty and the salted caramel with ice cream for the sweet.
